This environmentally-focused case from 1981 involved Milwaukee. Illinois charged Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Sewerage Commission, and the Milwaukee County Metropolitan Sewage Commission, among other WI cities, of polluting Lake Michigan from untreated sewage overflows. I found this case fascinating because our current waste water treatment plant seems to be state-of-the-art, and because environmental law in general is a compelling subject. Look here for more written information on the case.
